SENIOR CENTER RE-OPENING DELAYED

For the safety & continued well-being of our seniors and staff, the City has decided to postpone the opening of the Groveport Senior Center. The Governor of the State of Ohio and the Ohio Dept. of Health released an order outlining the guidelines that are mandatory to open Senior Centers and Adult Day Care Centers in the state. The order gives “permission” to open centers as early as Sept. 21, 2020, if they are able to meet these mandatory requirements. At this time, we are not able to meet the minimum requirements to open. We are maintaining close contact with the Ohio and Franklin County Departments of Health, the Ohio Department of Aging, City Administration and numerous other local centers in order to understand the requirements and to create a plan for re-opening that is best for the Groveport Senior Center. We are currently creating online virtual programming and drive thru events. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to do our utmost to keep everyone safe from COVID-19.

Office Hours are normally Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. If you have business with staff, please call ahead as there will be times when staff is out of the building performing work duties.

If you have a question, please contact Lisa Zurbriggen (Senior Services Manager) at 614-836-4599 or email her at lzurbriggen@groveport.org
